Navalt’s most popular tourist boat series is on the move! The fifth boat in the Marsel series has set out to begin operations in the beautiful Pench Tiger Reserve near Nagpur, Maharashtra. This is an excellent model for tourism, especially wildlife tourism, where clean, green, and silent boats are essential to avoid disturbing wildlife while providing an exceptional experience for tourists. To ensure passenger comfort, the Pench Tiger Reserve authorities have emphasized the need for highly comfortable seating for all.
This Marsel boat is an open-type #SolarElectricBoat with a luxurious design, offering seating for 24 passengers. This state-of-the-art vessel is powered by two independent battery packs, each with a capacity of 20 kWh, delivering a total of 40 kWh. This is the first boat equipped with our Mako Fury pods. These heavy-duty S1 pods provide a high degree of reliability and ruggedness, addressing a major concern in the leisure segment. Sea trials have also validated our claim that these pods offer a significantly better experience for the crew in terms of handling and maneuvering, as well as for passengers, with reduced noise and vibration compared to electric outboard motors. Mako Fury comes in different variants of 5, 10, 20, 40, and 80 kW pods with voltage ranging from 48 to 750V.
Like many of our boats, it features a 3 kW solar plant, which extends the range by an additional hour, enabling up to five hours of operation at a speed of 6 knots. Stay tuned for more photos once Marsel 5 reaches its final destination in the Pench Tiger Reserve!
