Talk at Rotary Cochin on ADITYA

I was invited to speak at Rotary Club of Cochin to speak about ADITYA story – The making of India’s first solar ferry.

Points discussed:

  • Challenges – both technical and non-technical, during the design and construction of ADITYA.
  • ADITYA, India’s first solar ferry and its successful performance in the last four months. Each day the boat saves 100 litres of diesel. On each day the operating cost of diesel ferry is about 7000 ₹ and in comparison solar ferry has just 120 ₹ in grid charging cost.

It was a nice experience and it was first time at a Rotary event.
